We've finished the recording for our two eps and have turned both in to the repsective labels. The plan for the Reptilian record is to have I think 900 on trash vinyl and 100 on red. As for the Anodyne split, those guys will record for it in December.

In other news in November we're playing New York City for the second time. It's been a while since we've been up there. This Sunday we're playing the Pig Destroyer record release show. There's nifty details about it from Relapse's perspective here.

On a totally unrelated subject, I'd like to recommend a political news outlet, Democracy Now! One of the great things about this entity is that Democracy Now! is completely unembedded. It is completely independent and takes no money from and runs no commercials from corporations or governments, and only accepts donations from private citizens and foundations. This means they are not influenced by anyone and they don't care who they piss off. You'll hear news there, and perspectives there, that you'll not hear anywhere else.

This time I'd like to bring up a couple of political links. I guess I'm inspired by Majority Rule here. The first is for the National Memorial Procession, Saturday, October 2nd, 2004. The procession will go from Arlington Cemetary to the White House. The flyer I have for it has a headline that reads "Mourn the Dead, Heal the Wounded, End the War."

Also, NARAL, the pro-choice group, has a page on their site at which people can register to vote. electionimpact.votenet.com/naral/

We're in Hourglass Studios mixing our songs for the Anodyne split on Kluggeschissen Records and our ep on Reptilian Records. That process is frustrating a little because you're in the home stretch, or near the home stretch ... well, never mind. After we finish mixing we'll get it mastered and hand it over to the labels. The artwork is about done for the Reptilian ep too.

We're playing a few more gigs which we're very happy about, and we're going to start writing this week for our next recording. It's time to take things up a notch. We have a few ideas about how things should go, and although the riffs I've come up with aren't out of the ordinary really, they sound new so to speak, so we'll see what happens when we hash some songs out.

We played our first show with the new lineup and it went pretty well. We played the demo, the comp song, and four more songs. No covers this time! See, we played a cover almost ever show we played with the old lineup. We have some more shows booked and in the meantime we're going to rehearse for the studio. As I think I mentioned before we're going to record for the Anodyne split 7" on Kluggescheissen and the Reptilian ep at the same time.

On another subject I went to the Majority Rule web site recently (I finally got a version of flash installed so I could see what's going on there) and I want to say, as far as me personally goes, I agree with Matt the guitarist that it's critically important to vote and I commend Majority Rule for providing links to make it easier for people to register. www.majrule.com

The art on the splash page is by Will Towles, the fine gent who provided artwork for our demo. The last time I talked to him, he said he was available to create more artwork for shirts or covers if anyone's interested. The member of Drugs of Faith writing the news is Richard, by the way.

Well, we went into the recording studio, and due to technical problems beyond our control we ended up with nothing to show for it. But practicing with Dave produced other rewards, as we came up with better ways to play some of our songs.

We have a new and permanent drummer in the form of Etay Levy, formerly of Lana Dagales of California and preceding that Nekhei Naatza from Israel. We're rehearsing with Etay for the studio again, and our return to the live setting. We're going to record for the Reptilian ep again, this time with different songs, a split 7" with Anodyne for a new label from Pennsylvania which is going to release a series of splits, and the Misery Index split. We're hoping to have our first show back be in May, so keep your eyes on the Shows section.

Rehearsals have begun for the studio! We're planning on doing eight songs, those being tracks for the Reptilian Records ep, tracks for a split ep with Misery Index that we both agreed upon in December that they'll release on their Anarchos label, and two more songs that we'll have in case something comes up. One of those will be a cover.
